cranking sticks

Yo just wondering how many cranking sticks do you guys
keep with you on the water ? do you guys keep a couple or more
for designated purposes ?
top water cranking ?
shallow cranking ?
medium cranking ?
deep cranking ?

you guys fish braid n leaders ?
fluorocarbon ?
monofilament ?
what pound line ?
what cranking ratios ?
all looks m no comments hahaha
3 rods on deck all times!!!
Fish floro only 10lb max 12..
Floro sinks so u can crank and jerk
Deep water!!!

Med-deep 8 ft Powell
Jerk 7.5 ft Powell glass rod
Lipless 7.5ft Powell glass rod

Right nows time to crank and jerk!!!

I agree with everything you said but wouldn't a glass rod absorb the action for a jerk stick ?
I use a 704 powell for jerk/rip baits
also I use 15 lb fluorocarbon because I fish tons weeds.
deep cranking 10-12 sounds perfect

Usually in November I transition to worm and jig instead of crank and jerk, but the weather has not dipped in the low 60's during the day yet. Is that the correct way of thinking?
I agree with Jim jr.
yes since temps haven't dropped too low right now.
I will crank more than a crack addict and
rip more than a stoner that's all ripped lol

Yup!!! Water temps still at 61-62

When it gets lil cooler jigs and dragging are
Better!!!! Also that HUDD Bite!!!

HA HA,

I can now answer this: I just upgraded one of my cranking sticks to a verities 2.0 (abu garcia) 7'6 paired with a Lews Speed Reel 5.4:1 gear ratio. Haven't even casted it yet as i got it merely an hour ago. If I like it I'll switch all my cranking rods one at a time. Oh yeah, forgot to mention its for deep cranking. Per our conversation earlier, I may switch to 6.4:1.. Thanks for all your advice.
6.4 or 7.1 top water / jerkbaits cranking 7' heavy
6.4 shallow cranking 7' glass medium heavy
6.4 medium cranking / lipless cranks 7'6" glass heavy
6.4 deep cranking ? 8'0" heavy

I know many guys will go with 5.4 but that's too slow for me.
slowing down is not a problem.
cranking with a 5.4 will kill my arm in the summer lol
6.4 gives you the capability to slow down or speed up.
also I fish everything on fluorocarbon and sometimes I'll
do straight braid on top water and lipless crank where there
is tons of grass.
hit pito lake today n had some ok fish.
