Walked the bank and threw some winter finesse jigs and drop shot. Water level is still super low - estimate at least 15 feet below what it averaged during summer. Especially easy to see when you compare to the debris line at the dam.
Signs of bait fish and some carp on the surface, but I reckon the bass are getting lethargic. Only saw a small fingerling sized juvenile largemouth belly up in the shallows. Pushed it around with a branch and turns out it was still breathing.
RIP little buddy, may you contribute some biomass back to your brethren and help them get through this winter.
